Our body is like an aquarium. It is made up of 60,000 billion cells which are bathed in balanced physiological water. Our skin and its 2000 billion cells play an essential role in maintaining and protecting the integrity of our body.
Among them, 90% are keratinocytes. It is THE fundamental cell of the skin and by extension of the human body. It is a cell with multiple functions, including protection: by forming the skin barrier, it prevents water from evaporating.
Keratinocytes are made up of 95% water molecules when they are at the base of the epidermis. On the surface, these cells, which have become corneocytes, contain only 12%. This fragile water balance can be altered by the effect of external stress (Sun, drought, cold, pollution, etc.), or even internal stress (fatigue, nervousness, lack of sleep, physiological deficiencies, inflammatory states, etc.). These attacks from the external environment and these disruptions to our internal ecosystem can lead to various skin imbalances (redness, spots, wrinkles, acne, etc.)
Another little-known stress is the contact of distilled (or demineralized) water with the skin.
